On the second floor of TANIYA,
in the space we call the “Reading Room,”
you will find a sofa and a low table created by
SUNGTAE.

Sculptural and conceptual,
yet carrying a quiet sense of playfulness.

The low table, made especially for TANIYA,
is crafted from a massive cross-section of horse chestnut,
preserving its natural form.

Growth rings,
seen as ripples on water.

Nature and the maker’s vision
quietly come together in this piece.
